Setting Up Email in the Plesk Control Panel
Setting up email accounts can sometime be tricky for clients with a new hosting account. Flipout hosting uses Plesk control panel to help you manage your account and domains that are hosted with Flipout Hosting. This step by step tutorial on setting up new email accounts was written for clients of Flipout Hosting but should also be helpful if your hosting company also uses the Plesk control panel for account administration.
Step 1
Log into the Flipout Hosting control panel using the username and password you received when your new account was created. If this is the first time logging into the control panel, you may be asked to provide additional information about your account before proceeding.
Step 2
Using the menu on the left side of the page, select “Home”
Under the Domains section, click on the domain which you would like to set up an email account for.
Step 3
In the Services section select “Mail”
In the Tools section select “Add New Mail Account”
Step 4
Enter the information for the new mail account. The first field will be the email address for the new email account. It will already have the @ symbol and your domain name after the text box so you will only need to enter the desired name for the mailbox. Enter the desired password and confirm it in the following 2 fields. The password must contain at least 5 characters and should not contain the mail account name as part of the password.
Make sure the Mailbox field has a check in it. Specify the maximum size for the mailbox on the server in kilobytes.
Click Ok
Step 5
You have now created a new mail account. You may further configure the mail account using any one of the available selections in the tools menu. You can click the help link for more information about the available options on this page.
